San Antonio, Texas, Working on Revising Their Housing Guidelines to Address the Crisis

Sharing is caring!

Almost anywhere, across the United States, the problem with affordable housing remains to be a pressing concern.

In San Antonio, Texas, local authorities are finding the best solutions to address the crisis. Officials are looking at revising their loan incentives and the tax credits that are given to new housing projects across the city.

Neighborhood & Housing Services’ director Veronica Soto said, “The city is tweaking how we have done incentives for housing in downtown area as well.”

It is expected that it would be sometime in August that these new policy changes will be reviewed and hopefully, implemented.

The US government is considering affordable housing as not having to spend more than 30% of the household income on housing.
